F. PAOLO PARISI

Paolo is an experienced legal counsel with over twenty years of expertise in the non-performing loan (NPL) sector. As a qualified lawyer in Italy, specializing in corporate and banking law, he has a strong foundation in mediation and civil litigation. 

His career took a significant turn following the 1999 opening of Italy's securitisation market, leading him to consult for prominent banks and servicers. Paolo has played a pivotal role in the startup phase of these entities, advising on credit management software and procedural setups, as well as organizing their due-diligence, servicing, and asset management operations. 

Based in Rome and Palermo, he continues to support various servicing companies and large banks, focusing on judicial recovery of NPLs, particularly those with special guarantees. Additionally, Paolo serves as external legal counsel for pension funds and private institutions, managing legal issues related to their real estate portfolios, and has recently concentrated on out-of-court settlements of bank-originated receivables. He holds a law degree from the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, with a specialization in international business, and is a member of the Bar Association of Palermo.
